Hi amigos, today we got some promo reveals! Looks like Aqua Force is making a splash into Stoicheia! Let’s dive into it!

Skill:
AUTO(RC): When the attack this unit boosted hits a vanguard, if it is the third battle of that turn, COST[retire this unit], and CC1.

Pros

  • It’s a “costless” CC1

Cons

  • The boosted attack has to hit
  • It’s specific to only 3rd battle
  • Retires itself which could be better if it went into Soul

overDress D Format Impact

SSSSSSSSOOOOOO one thing I am excited about is that the old Aqua Force artwork aesthetic is mainly there! This can be the first of many new Aquaroids to come into Stoicheia!

Currently, with the recent Stoicheia reveals, there isn’t much of a CB issue. In fact, we’re seeing a lot of cards using the Soul more! So the use and importance of this card is kind of minimal at the moment. If instead of it retiring itself, it could go into Soul. That would be a better pay off with such restricting requirements.

Furthermore, the fact that it’s very restrictive on being able to CC1, is NOT good. It has to boost an attack that hits a VG and while it being the 3rd battle. Sadly, more copies as boosters doesn’t help due to the 3rd battle restriction.

Premium Format Impact

There’s not much of an impact to be honest. Currently, all of the Zoo clans, Aqua Force, and Granblue have better ways of CCing. In fact, cards like Tear can be splashed in to have a CC engine. In Aqua Force, the V Series of Penguin Soldier can do the same without having it to boost/hit.

Final Thoughts

To be honest, this may be a small taste of many more Aquaroids to come. Perhaps we’ll see a new Tidal Assault in the near future.

What are your guys’ thoughts? Are looking forward to more Aqua Force-like artwork?

Till next time amigos, see ya!
