Deck Builds and Ideas
Use this as a guide to get you started while trying out and learning the deck. Note that trigger line ups, and the choice to put in Elemental Sanctitude in can be adjusted as you see fit.
Aggro Youthberk ( Recommended *)
In my opinion, this will probably be the best way to play Youthberk out of Set 06. It contains most of the usual core and supporting cards. The only thing to highlight here is is Menacing Tiger.
AUTO]:When this card is discarded from hand during your turn, COST
[Counter Blast (1)], and call this card to (RC) as [Rest].
[AUTO]:When this unit is placed on (RC), COST
[Soul Blast (1)], choose one of your vanguards, and it gets [Power]+5000 until end of turn.
Its superior call effect can be used when discarded for the ride deck to build a field early or even used in combination with discard skills like Skyfall Arms or Revolform Gust to make full use of every opportunity.
Other cards to consider are Knight of Fierce Break, Vriede which gains 5000 shield when you are on a Youth vanguard for more defense.
Enucleate Angel is another possible choice too , but generally counterblast is not really an issue right now, but it still has potential if we ever need it. Some players even opt to play the The Hour of Holy Judgement Cometh for more draw power, so this card support that.
Some other changes you can make from this template is of course to reduce the number of Revolforms to fit in more rearguards.
For this playstyle, I strongly recommend using Youthberk “Skyfall Arms” in the ride deck as it allows to play out of bad situations where your hand can be clogged.
Using Bed-Kay
This version of the deck uses Bedivere-Kay to form consistent columns and to filter the deck. Do note of Bedivere’s restrictions however as that can be detrimental if you want to play the deck aggressively. The pair of cards also take up a lot of deck space so you will have to cut something to fit the duo in.
Experimental Deck Ideas
While still experimental it is possible to use a G3 engine with Alden and Rooks to give the deck stronger plays early on. The choice in your ride deck is up to you, but Protofall is used so that there are more “Persona Ride” Targets. I think there’s probably something here to try but will need a lot more testing.
